The website tries to be more than an online text book. It provides information, mostly geographical, about North Devon, but also aims to encourage an enquiry approach to learning.

Teachers may use the student investigations as an aid to fieldwork in the Biosphere Reserve or they may ask their students to interact with the different enquiries, almost like virtual fieldwork.
